Type U 43 (“B II” – Boats)
U 43 and U 47 = 2 U-boats
On 30th of July 1917 two more U-Boats of German type “B II” were taken over. The German UB 43 became the Austro-Hungarian U 43 and the German UB 47 became U 47. Since 1916, both U-boats were already detached by the Imperial German Navy to Pola Naval Base to operate in the Mediterranean, manned by German crews until hand over.
