U-boat data sheets

U-boat Data Sheets contain all important events in the lifecycle of an U-boat. There are almost complete data on keel-laying, whereabouts, crewlists, etc. of 1.171 UBoats between 1935 and 1945

This U-boat became famous through the sinking of the British Battleship HMS Royal Oak at her base at Scapa Flow. It was commanded by Kapitänleuntant (Lieutenant Commander) Günther Prien throughout her entire employment.
