Although the archive´s creator Horst Bredow has laid down the foundations of this unique institution almost by his own, the information and documents compiled in further 60 years can be administered nowadays only through the voluntary work of many co-workers. Some of these highly motivated volunteers shall be introduced below, representing many more supporters.

U-Boats of the Imperial German Navy

Alfred Bock und Gerhard Seelmann from Nuremberg, Matthias Löhr from Berlin, Simon Schnetzke from Potsdam und Michael Weise from Köthen

All others Navies, the Archive and Museum

Peter & Bärbel Brandt from Cuxhaven, Birgit Hentschel from Dresden, Mieczyslaw Jastrzebski from Poland, Wolfgang & Undine Klaue from Cottbus, Thomas Klemm from Wittstock, Raik Kolmorgen from Berlin, Sven & Timo Marquard from Neumünster, Melanie Mielke from Stendal, Herbert Riemer from Stralsund, Karl-Heinz Schroth from Schiffdorf, Peter Schulz from Otterndorf, Torsten Schwenk from Altenbruch, Kai Steenbuck from Uetersen and Thomas Wende from Dresden.

At the same time we want to report from the archive´s daily work, from achievements and various projects, i.e. offer a look behind the curtain. If you are interested in joining the group of volunteers or if you want to support the further growth of this institution, you can find more under “ Association of Friends“.
